Practice Preparation
Please ensure your wrestler arrives properly equipped and ready to train. Required items include:
- T-shirt
- Shorts
- Athletic socks
- Wrestling shoes - wrestling shoes must never be worn outside the wrestling room or outside of tournaments.
All attire must be clean and freshly washed before every practice. Good hygiene is essential in a contact sport—sweat and skin contact can spread odor, bacteria, and illness. Wrestlers should also shower immediately after practice to help prevent skin infections and keep the wrestling room healthy.
Headgear is optional, but if worn, it must remain on for the entire practice.
Practice Environment
- Parents are not permitted inside the wrestling room during practice unless they hold a valid USA Wrestling Coach Card and are actively assisting.
- This policy protects athlete focus, minimizes distraction, and builds confidence.
- All Boltz coaches are trained volunteers dedicated to teaching wrestling fundamentals and long‑term athlete development.
Each session includes:
- Warm‑Up – Movement prep and activation
- Position & System Instruction – Teaching core concepts and weekly themes
- Partner Drills – Repetition that builds skill and confidence
- Live Situational Wrestling – Position‑specific live work
- Short Conditioning – Age‑appropriate pace, strength, and resilience training
