BOLTZ WRESTLING CLUB

September–October

 

Who It’s For

 

  • 4–9 year olds → 60‑minute practices
  • 10–14 year olds (not in high school) → 90‑minute practices

 

Purpose of Preseason

 

  • Rebuild stance, motion, and fundamental habits
  • Prepare new wrestlers for their first season
  • Re‑establish structure and consistency after summer
  • Introduce or reinforce the Boltz System and weekly themes


What We Train

 

  • Stance → motion → level changes
  • Hand fighting basics
  • Inside control & pressure principles
  • Safe partnering
  • Age‑appropriate conditioning


How We Coach

 

  • Short, clear cues
  • Demonstration-first
  • Fast, high‑rep partner drills
  • Low‑risk, position‑based live wrestling


Practice Length

 

  • 4–9 years: 60 minutes
  • 10–14 years: 90 minutes
